am 28.11. findet ein Vortrag statt, auf den wir gerne aufmerksam machen wollen:
28. November: Linn Burchert (München): Pseudo-Activities? The Contemporary Art Field and Eco-Politics.
Numerous exhibitions since 2015 were dedicated to “artistic activism” – a trend largely welcomed in our field. If at all, only the dangers of incorporation of activist practices into capitalist institutions (the neutralization of activism’s critical potentials) and the total emptying of concepts of art have been critiqued. In my talk, I want to follow a different path and look at the contradictions and problems within “artivism” on the occasion of UN climate summits as “pseudo-activities”.
