Teaching of Fine Arts (Subject Didactics)
Teaching art - a contradiction in terms? What does visual literacy mean? How much art does art education need? Banksy or Brueghel? Art, image or subject?
The debates about content, tasks and approaches in art lessons are diverse.
The area of subject didactics / art education offers seminars and artistically and practically orientated courses where students can discuss and reflect on their own artistic and, above all, art education approach.
It also supports students in developing their skills in designing & planning, testing & implementing, analysing & reflecting on teaching models and specific lessons. In preparation for the Referendariat (newly qualified teacher training programme), this takes place, for example, in the form of periods of teaching practice or art education projects, which are carried out in cooperation with schools and other educational institutions.
