First State Examination via the Teacher Examination Office (LPA)
The Erste Staatsprüfung (First State Examination) for teaching degrees is the qualification gained after completion of the degree course and extends over one semester. Before registering for the First State Examination, students must submit a written assignment and, if necessary, take a practical exam (applies to the subjects AWT (economics, business studies, and technology), Art and Design, Music, and Sport).
The legal basis for the First State Examination for Teaching Qualifications is the Lehrerprüfungsverordnung – LehPrVO M-V (Teacher Examination Ordinance Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) of 16 July 2012.
